Ordering:

We are a licensed and insured Cottage Business, and do not have a storefront as such. All products are available for pick up at the location at W Palm St, Altadena CA 91001.

This site can accept orders from 21 business days to 3 whole business days in advance. Please contact us directly for last minute ordering. This means for a Saturday pick up the site requires your order to be in by 12:00 Midnight on a the Tuesday etc

Product availability and pricing are subject to change without notice.

Payment is due at the time of order. Credit cards, Zelle and Venmo, are accepted through this site. No order is confirmed without payment.

Current contact information must be provided with your order, in case contact is needed before your scheduled pick up, or if there are questions about your order.

CUSTOM ORDERS are accepted, but are subject to custom pricing. Please note cakes requiring custom colors are an additional MINIMUM $25.00 to defray additional time, and the substantial cost of the natural vegetable based food colors. We try our best to match colors, but cannot guarantee an exact match.

Pick Up Times

Please pick up your order at the arranged time. If you cannot pick-up at your scheduled time, please advise as soon as possible. Many times other things are scheduled around your pick-up time, frequently resulting in no one being available after your window has closed.

Please be aware that baking production is done according to pick-up schedules, and refrigeration is limited. Your order is taken out of the fridge at your pick-up time to allow for other orders as they are produced.

We try to be flexible but do not have the facility to hold products. It is recommended you have a friend pick up for you if you are unable to.

Allergies and Preferences

Please let us know of any food allergies at the time of order.

Products containing allergens such as, gluten, nuts, dairy, and soy are also produced at the facility, and while we make every effort to ensure there is no cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee trace amounts of allergens will not be present.

*Gluten Free Advisory*

Altadena Pie Lady is not a gluten-free bakery and cannot guarantee that cross contamination will never occur. We have cleaning and sanitizing processes in place to help prevent this happening, but there is always great deal of flour (gluten) in the air, on equipment and work surfaces, so there is a good risk of cross contamination. If you are a Celiac and/or highly sensitive please advise when placing your order and know that we will do our best but cannot guarantee your order will not touch gluten somewhere in the process.

SUGAR-FREE? There are many different reasons to order sugar-free products, such as allergies, Diabetes, Keto diet etc.

Please choose SUGAR-FREE if you are on a KETO diet, OR are DIABETIC, where Monkfruit/erythritol sweeteners will be used, or

REFINED SUGAR-FREE if you simply prefer a more natural sweetener such as honey, coconut sugar, or sweet potato nectar. *Please be aware that unrefined sugars are not white, so the color of baked goods will be darker when baked with unrefined sugars, such as coconut sugar, or honey. But they will still be delicious!

WEDDING CAKE payments are due as follows: Deposit of 25% is due at the time of order, balance is due seven business days before the event.

Care of your purchase

It is highly recommended that you make your purchase closest to the time of consumption. Everything is better at its freshest!

If you buy a pie, cake or bars the day before it/they is to be eaten, they need to be refrigerated overnight, and can be brought out an hour or so before serving. Please note flowers have a tendency to wilt, and may not hold well beyond the day of collection. Please advise at the time of ordering.

To reheat your pie: Allow to come up to room temperature for approx 1 hour, then bake at 350F for approx 30 minutes on a cooky sheet or until just warmed through – please be careful and use over mitts as it will be HOT!

Cookies should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. They are best enjoyed within 2-3 days.

Yeasted items and scones are always best on the day of baking.

Cancellation Policy

We understand life happens, and you might need to cancel your order. See below for separate bulk order cancellation policy.

Refunds will be allowed as follows:

100% refund if cancelled with 2 or more days notice.

50% refund if cancelled with 24 hours or more notice.

No refund if cancelled within 24 hours of pick up.

BULK/VOLUME ORDERS: 50% non-refundable deposit required, balance due and payable before pick up.

Cancellation policy for Wedding Cakes: 100% will be refunded up to one week (seven days) before scheduled delivery or pick up. Seven days or less before delivery or pick up there will be no refund for Wedding cakes.
