Description

This class will be on basic bread making, Sourdough, Focaccia,  and Soft Dinner Rolls.

You will receive a five year-old sourdough starter by direct pick up the day of, or the day before the class. If you cannot pick up you can use the starter directions (it’s easy!) furnished upon receipt of payment no less than one week before class, as it takes a week for a starter to become viable.

  • Some skills you will learn:
    1. How to make and care for your own sourdough starter
    2. Understanding the role of Gluten, and yeast in bread making
    3. The importance of accurate ingredient measurement
    4. How to properly knead dough
    5. Shaping, scoring and baking the dough.
    6. Proper baking technique with steam
    7. How to scale, and round bread rolls
  • Equipment Needed
  • Oven, mixing bowl (medium)
  • Banneton, bench scraper, lame (optional)

This class will be on Zoom. You will receive all information to join the class via email a few days before the class. You will also receive recipes, and equipment list.

You will provide all ingredients and equipment needed if you decide to follow along during the class, or make the items at a later time.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

–  72-hours prior to the start of the class a full refund will be issued

– One hour or less before class starts, or no shows, or late arrivals, there will be refunds or rescheduled class.

– Less than 72 hours ahead of class start, you can choose another scheduled class

– After class starts there will be no refunds or rescheduling for leaving early.
